The Harvey Wallace Victimology Teaching Award

Awarded annually to an individual who has demonstrated excellence in undergraduate and / or graduate teaching in the area of victimology whether at an educational institution where the nominee is recognized as a master professor of victimology or at a broader level as a result of the nominee’s sustained and committed efforts to advance victimological education.

Criteria for this award:

  1. widely recognized for innovative pedagogy
  2. actively promotes victimological education throughout the field
  3. fosters excitement and passion among students for a career in victim rights and services
  4. influences teaching beyond their own institution

Anyone who holds a full-time, part-time, or adjunct position teaching one or more victimology-related courses is eligible for nomination, inclusive of graduate or undergraduate universities as well as two- and four-year colleges. Nominees who are retired or who teach only periodically are eligible within two years of their most recent course.
