Nominations Committee


Objectives: The purpose of this committee is to oversee nomination and election processes related the ASV’s Board of Directors. The committee also oversees the nomination and selection process for special recognitions and awards given by the ASV.
   
Tasks: Specific tasks include:

bullet Solicit the membership of the ASV for nominations and develop a slate of nominees;
spacer
bullet Conduct elections in accordance with the ASV bylaws; and
spacer
bullet Communicate election results to the membership of the ASV.

bullet Identify ASV awards and recognitions and establish standards.
   
Committee Makeup: This committee will consist of at least three ASV members in good standing. The committee will be chaired by a member of the Board.
   
Frequency: For election of Board members, this committee shall meet at least once 90 days prior to an election and otherwise on an as-needed basis in order to carry out its objectives.

For awards and special recognition, this committee shall meet on an as-needed basis in order to carry out its objectives.
